Absolute joke of an optician, my poor old mum at 82 years old had an eye test here and they said there was something showing at the back of her right eyes (no mention at all of cataracts) then proceeded to advise new glasses knowing full well that with cataracts the glasses would be useless, 330 later and it's true SHOULD HAVE WENT TO SPECSAVERS!!!!! Glasses was useless and didn't improve sight at all, just back from a thorough eye examination at Specsavers and advised they have never seen cataracts so bad and have referred my poor old mum to the hospital as you would expect from a decent optician. Spoken to other people locally and they advised the same, avoid this opticians as they provide a very poor service indeed. Make the effort and go to your nearest Specsavers who advised my mum NOT to bother with getting glasses until her cataracts are dealt with, better than being advised to buy expensive bifocal glasses that they must have known wouldn't make any difference to her sight!!!

Went in to book an eye test.Receptionist/Owner ? asked my personal details in front of another person who was jyst hanging about at the reception desk which is against all data protection laws. The doctor who examined my eyes was pleasant and efficient and I ordered two pairs of glasses. I was called by receptionist/owner to let me know my spectacle order was in and after confirming the opening times of the optician I confirmed I would collect them the following afternoon.I arrived at 15.10 and the shop was closed. The shop was also registered open on Google. My husband has cancer which the staff knewabout and I needed to arrange someone to sit with him. No one from Hunters called me to stop me from coming to collect my specs. Supporting the local trades people in the village I thought was Important but will not use again.
