We (Songbird and the Crow) played for the residents and we had the best time. The residents joined in with all the songs and were up and dancing, this was largely due to a very interactive and proactive staff. They encouraged everyone to sing along and were busy for the whole session. All are a credit to the home especially Kat and her chirpy smiley attitude. we will be back

Me and my daughter had a wonderful time at toddler group this morning. She really enjoyed entertaining the residents leaving them with big smiles on their faces. A massive thank you to Emily and Kat for hosting this event we will definitely be returning.

Went along to the toddler group this morning at Hickathrift and what a lovely morning. We had a cup of tea and some cake with some of the residents and all the toddlers were playing and interacting, was so lovely to be a part of it. My boy is only 4 months, so yet to be playing but the residents still wanted to speak and hold his hand, which was so lovely. Will definitely be going again when the next toddler group is on. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning. Staff were so kind and especially Emily and Katharine. Thanks for having us!

I have always enjoy working at Hickathrift House. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. I provide therapeutic art and creativity session with the residents, who are always seated in the dinning room waiting for me. Its lovely to walk in and see their happy faces and enthusiasm to participate in the chosen graft. During the sessions refreshments are provided which gives me time to really engage with the residents and have a nice chat over a cuppa. Hickathrift House always provides a nice schedule of entertainment for the residents which is so important. I'm very much looking forward to joining the residents and staff very soon for more creativity and fun. Debbie of Gratitude 43 (New Life Through Art)
