We couldn't recommend Darren from Lucra Mortgages more highly. It took us a year to purchase our first home and during that time we had some complicating factor such as my pregnancy and maternity leave. I thought applying for a mortgage would be very stressful but Darren sorted it all for us and it felt so easy. We had to change our mortgage product multiple times in an attempt to secure the best rate. Excellent communication and support from Darren throughout. Darren was referred to me by a neighbour and he has brought me an exceptional service from start to finish. I reached out to Darren in November 2022 which was c. 7 months before I hit the 5th anniversary of my Help To Buy Loan and the expiration of my fixed term mortgage. When I first approached Darren, I was pretty clueless about what was right for me both in terms of how to structure the repayment as well as what mortgage was right for me. Over this period, he was super attentive to my very detailed (and many!) questions and it felt like I was getting more than just a mortgage broker service. He was very happy to review and talk through my thought process and help me make the right decision out of many options. He educated me throughout by clearly explaining everything in jargon free language to made it all very simple. Being fairly busy, it was important that I could keep some structure and communicate in a way that worked for me and he was extremely accommodating to this. We would have periodic Teams calls in the diary to ensure he was kept up to date on my case and he always replied to all my emails within the day, even when I sent them on the weekend. Darren also helped me find my solicitor and kept abreast with everything that was going on in parallel to support me through this. He really was my right hand man and support throughout this whole process which was one that did intimidate me and I was dreading before I found him. A true professional and I have no fear at all about when I next renew or look to purchase a new house as working with him was an absolute pleasure. One of the best services I have received or observed in a long time!

Darren was referred to by my neighbour and I found him super helpful and communicative from the start. He stayed in good contact, updating me at every stage and kept me posted about new deals and interest rate offers. He made the remortgage process really simple and straight forward and I felt really well taken care of. Definitely recommend Lucra Mortgages and would use again in future. Update: Darren has continued to keep an eye out for better deals as I still have a few months before the remortgage will kick in, and hes already got me a new lower rate! What an outstanding service!! Cant recommend this company enough!!
