After a very disappointing time-consuming & very expensive experience with a well known brand in Cheadle. I decided to go local. Had a very detailed and thorough eye test by Nicola; unlike precision experiences and they made up my varifocals that was spot on at their first attempt unlike the last optician! Recommend Ridings and the friendly, professional team there. So Buy Local!

This was my husband's first visit to Ridings and he found that the whole service, from beginning to end, was very professional and courteous and the staff provided good old fashioned customer service. The eye examination was one of the most thorough he had ever had and, having worn glasses for the last 54 years, he has a lot of experience to base this opinion on. The scanning service that Ridings provide is very high tech and reassuring. Choice of glasses, lens type, varifocal quality etc is excellent and well explained. For the first time in many years, what he received when he collected his new glasses was exactly what he had ordered and what expected. He has rimless glasses and has had problems in the past with receiving thicker lenses that expected but not this time! Staff are extremely knowledgeable, especially Nicola and Eric. My husband will definitely be using Ridings as his regular optician in the future
