Such an extensive range of beautiful eyewear which is a little bit different to what youd find on a high street chain.
Rodger Fishers offer such a personable experience, I love calling in to see the team and what new ranges they have in.

I rang up for an emergency appointment at 9am, and was seen approximately 3 hours later, the optician diagnosed the problem, and I was immediately referred to stepping hill. So it's five stars from me.. thank you

I thought I should use local businesss more after using Specsavers for many years, what a mistake that was. My first appointment was on 1st Sept 2022 with a young man named Hosea, he was changing lenses in the test glasses with better/worse, better/worse, better/worse faster than I could focus, I really should have walked then. He tested for cataracts & said I had the start of a cataract in my right eye but nothing to worry about at this stage. He prescribed new glasses with only a change to the right lens.
I went back for the glasses on the 26th, I could see better without them. Hosea said, you need to take them home & get used to them, eh. Then he said, its because you have cataracts, you need a referral, are you refusing, you refusing, you refusing? At this total change from telling me I had the start of a cataract to needing a referral, I asked for a 2nd opinion & saw Roachan Patel, the shop's owner, not Roger Fisher?
Roachan tested my eyes, after grumbling about the time he was spending, he said I had cataracts in both eyes, a grade1 in left & grade2 in right. He suggested a referral, he said he would refund the 349 Id paid for the glasses.
I went home to search the internet for info on cataracts & referrals, as nothing had been explained to me at this stage, I phoned next day or two & asked for the referral, I was called into Optegra eye specialists very quickly & all went well with them, can't praise Optegra enough, both eyes operated on & distance vision very much improved.
I was referred back to the optician for eye test after each eye operation with a recovery time of 6 weeks in-between, now my vision was good on all but small print, so I only really needed ready readers. Roachan said he would convert the useless glasses Id paid 349 for, into readers foc, but only refund 30 of the 349 hed promised to refund earlier. He does have quite a selective memory, remembering everything Id said, with his own enhancements, but could not recall his own promises to make amends for the very poor experience Id received in this 6 month saga.
To summarize, would I use these opticians again, would you?
