        Smart shops can be very intimidating. You go in and the ladies inside stare at you beadily, their X-Ray vision honing in. You can feel them knowing that you're wearing mismatching undies and your bra has a safety pin in it. Anyway the nice ladies in this shop did exactly the right thing. They said hello, pointed out where the sales stuff was and let me get on with it. Inside, it's like a carpeted Tardis, with loads of elegant, wearable clothes spaced out across the shop. I picked up a perfect mac by Part Two, a Danish brand. Also Winterson doesn't do that infuriating thing of splashing SALE signs all over the place but when you go inside, the only items that ARE on sale are two mustard jumpers in size 6 and 28. The ladies are helpful and friendly and they have an altering service too.
