As someone who is familiar with construction projects and how they can (and often do) encounter difficulties for any number of reasons, having a competent, flexible and reliable Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a substantial build project is essential. In Marlow Construction & Surveying Ltd (MCS) we had absolutely first-class assistance from the very beginning, right the way through to when practical completion was certified. Matt led the project and Tom was also involved in the early stages. In all of the (numerous) site visits and meetings, MCS were prepared, thorough, clear in their communication and always fought our corner with the contractor if and when needed (not that it was needed often, as the contractor was excellent too). Nothing was an issue in terms of the project itself, even though issues arose (as one would expect in substantial projects). The programme for the build went smoothly and was on time, save for a couple of weeks added on for unforeseen issues. One thing in particular that stood out for MCS is that if they said they would do something, administrative, practical, whatever it might have been, they delivered. That level of reliability (and it has to be said, the contractor was equally reliable with their works and responsibilities) is a quality which is unfortunately quite rare in this industry. Ultimately, the project was managed impeccably and it was widely recognised throughout that the whole project team contributed to the successful completion of our beautiful home. I would not hesitate to recommend MCS to anyone embarking on a property renovation or large-scale development. They are more than a safe pair of hands; they also made the journey smooth and enjoyable to be a part of. J&J

I contacted Matt and Tom for some estimating on my site. The chaps arrived promptly to our appointment and were clearly prepared for the job at hand. I was very pleased with how seriously they took health and safety measures particularly with directions for COVID safety. Although they werent the cheapest team we got to quote for our job we firmly believed that they would be the best guys for the job and they truly were worth every penny spent for their services. 5 stars! I would recommend these guys to anyone who needs aid in their construction projects or just general advice!

It was a pleasure dealing with Matt and having his invaluable assistance when undertaking our work. He knows everything worth knowing about construction, he is utterly 'can-do' and nothing is a problem for him. He is excellent and I would recommend him in a flash to anyone looking needing advice about their build.
