My wife and I visited the shop today and loved it. We love the quirkiness of the shop and it's ok that it's twisty and turney; part of the pleasure of this kind of shop. As for the ladies there, Sue and Megan, they could not have been nicer with us and we look forward to the next time we visit.

Such a rude owner of the Cats Whiskers. Cannot believe she manages to sell anything, treating her customers so badly; she definitely needs to go on a customer care course! I was intrigued to see a so called retro antique fairground sign for childrens swing boat ride - the price of the ride showed 1. Surely such a ride from years ago wouldve cost pennies or maybe a shilling or two, never as much as a pound! I was very suspicious that many of the products on sale were not genuine. If you like being insulted and browsing a load of junk, this is the shop to visit.

My sister and I walked into this shop last weekend and was immediately pounced on by a woman there telling us to remove our gloves and sanitize our hands before entering the shop. I proceeded to inform her that I had an allergy to sanatizers. She then informed me that I would have to sanitize using a product for sensitive skin from the back of the shop or wear surgical gloves. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Firstly, I will not put chemicals on my hands, let alone touch the top of a bottle which God knows how many other people have touched thus spreading bacteria and god knows what else. If her actions were to reduce the spread of covid which I would have thought that the vast majority of people have already had exposure to, does she not realise that this sanatiser has no affect against viruses, but will kill good bacteria as well as bad, upsetting the balance on skin. I thought that she was very rude especially as the shop was full of second hand items. Never mind, she missed out on a potential sale as I only buy antiques for my home and there are plenty of other vintage and antique shops to choose from. Her loss.
