I took a Omega watch for Liam to repair a couple of weeks ago, which I collected last week. I am very happy with the work carried out and confirm it was a excellently done. The watch is now working very well. Also I took a gold chain to him last year with a broken clasp, and he did an excellent repair on it.

The service was exemplary - Initially I was quoted at least a month for some repairs, but when I explained the circumstances they very kindly made an exception and worked late after hours to complete the work for me in days - I will be forever grateful. And all done with a smile. Will certainly be using them again.

I was loyal to this jeweller for several years - no more. I had spent several hundred pounds with them on diamond pendants and other items. Later, I took a charm bracelet to them for repair. During the repair, they were burgled and they said that their insurance had lapsed a few days earlier. To show support, I did not ask them to reimburse me for the value of the bracelet. Later, I took in a watch for a repair to the bracelet strap. The strap broke 10 days after it was returned to me. I took it back to County Jewellers who said that they would repair the strap and fully service it for an additional cost. They did not apologise for the strap and seemed disinterested when I said that it should not have broken. The watch was returned to me several weeks later and stopped working within 24 hrs. I telephoned them, received no apology or even an admission that their work had been substandard. Odd, considering that I had owned the watch for more than 10 years without a problem. Reluctantly, I returned the watch to them to give them the chance to repair it properly. Covid then struck but they kept the watch for around 6 months without contacting me. I happened to be in Marlborough one day and saw that they were in the shop. I asked them why they had not been in touch, whether the watch was ready and why it had taken so long. They showed me teeth missing from one of the cogs which could only have been damaged by them. I expressed my dissatisfaction about the quality of the work, the poor service, the lack of communication and the inordinate amount of time the repair had taken. Finally, they apologised and asked what they could do. Too late, why would I go back to a shop like that?
