        Please give us back our local store! Since the Markyate store got involved with Tesco, the range of products it sells has crashed. While not beautiful, the old store felt like a village shop and had a great range of products, fresh and preserved. The new shop has 4 racks of bananas but a minimal range of vegtables - no peppers for instance -- and a tiny range of everything else - no tonic water for instance - except for prepared and highly processed foods. The black paint and corporate branding give it all the atmosphere of a an undertakers on a wet Tuesday in January . Please can we go back to the variety and relatively cheerful ambience we had before - and be done with Tesco..?
