Insanely good mix, friendly staff and an insane collection of instruments and equipments! Have tried out most studios in the area and would be confident to say rebellion studios have been the best for our needs. Would recommend Rebellion to anyone looking to record in the Colchester area (or anywhere near!)

I highly recommend Rebellion Studios!! Their knowledge and valuable expertise ensures you get exactly the type of sound you are looking for with ease, be it analogue or digital. I am deeply impressed with the ample great sounding live space and attention to detail on all levels by the wonderful people that run the studio. I really like the relaxed feel of the space and it being slightly off the beaten track so there are little distractions around you. The former BBC Mixing Desk (once John Peels Broadcast desk) and a gorgeous 1968 3M Tape Machine (formerly the property of EMI at Abbey Road) let alone all the vintage mics they have capture and reproduce an undeniable hi end professional sound. This is not only to be expected of the calibre and heritage these historic pieces of equipment carry but its also the wizardry of the owner, technician and head producer Nathan Wacey. I am very impressed by not only his production and technical abilities but the way in which he unobtrusively supports the artist in session to get the very best out of them. Top marks to the Marks Tey Rebellion Studio, Essex is very lucky to have you!!
