Absolutely absurd opening times, If you weren't in for the parcel during the day you are probably at work, If you work your unlikely to be able to collect between 8-10 am

Items not being delivered but no communication as to whether they'll try to re-deliver another day or whether they're just running behind schedule. Annoying when you wait in and ensure you're home for the time stated and the parcel does not arrive.

Open 2 hours a day from 8am to 10pm useless for anyone that has a normal job!

The Post Office seem to be following the route of all the large corporate entities i.e. discouraging direct contact if you have a question. At one time, if you received a " Fee to pay" card, you could ring the sorting office direct to ascertain what exactly the item was before going to the time and expense of paying for it and taking pot luck that it actually was for you and it was something you wanted and were expecting. Now you get a Central number where you go into an endless wait because" they have "unusually high demand" and when you finally get through, the advisor is like Manuel in Faulty Towers "I know nothing". When they do deliver, half of the time they can't even turn up in vans with the correct Royal Mail livery. Instead, a white van arrives looking like the myriad of home deliveries that have sprung in recent years and they could be from Hermes or anyone. Another perfect example of privatisation leading to a serious decline of service. Profit before performance!.

Due to the postman not knowing what he is doing and the absolutely awful opening times for collection, I collected my package a week after I should have received it. The woman in the office didn't talk to me or check my ID, she could have given my package (worth 100+) to anyone.
