Just love this shop and only avoid it to save my pocket!! I tend to go in near closing time so i get asked to leave before I part with my hard earned pennies but nope they leave me to shop! What a lovely range of products and have found items that couldn't find elsewhere. Staff seem to have the right balance of being approachable yet let you browse in comfort.

Went to this shop on Tuesday 23rd September 2020. I understand we are in unpresdented times but the moment we walked in (wearing masks) the assistant was abrupt cold and unwelcoming. Using phrases pointing to my 2 year old child who had just walked in 'don't let him touch anything!' I went there to buy boots for nursery the next day, but you cannot try things on which she told me as my son was one foot in. I would have to buy the shoes and if they didn't fit I would return them. I said thats ridiculous I buy them try them outside and then bring them back in, to just trying them on in shop and being put aside, she didn't get this logic. We went to Clarks and Joules up the road who let you try on and service was excellent! She basically told us use the Internet! Really good for saving the high street and to buy local! Funnily enough the other stores said that others had said exactly the same thing! Please work on your customer service and customers don't bother going there buy on line, you will get a better customer/shopping experience!

Ive been thinking about posting this for a long time now, and decided to because everytime I see the store name or even walk past it, it bothers me. I got offered a job here when i was 24 weeks pregnant so legally not obliged to tell any employer for another week or so. I began work and on my first day decided to be up front and honest and explained that I was having a baby. For a company who specialises in maternity, baby and beyond I was genuinely shocked at the then-managers response and subsequent treatment of me. Im not sure whether it was that I was pregnant or that she just wanted to make me miserable. But she managed to do just that, and very well. She genuinely went out of her way to make me unhappy, calling me into the back room on a daily basis for things that were either drastically pushed out of proportion or for not working on my customer service which was completely false considering that I was imitating the rest of the staff and tidying the shop in quiet periods as I was told to do so, there was absolutely nothing weong with what I was doing. Being sent into the stock cupboard to ticket things up on my own instead of working on the shop floor because they didnt want to work with me and on another member of staffs day off they came into store and the manager and staff member went round the corner talking about me. I went on maternity leave 11 weeks early because of the amount of stress as soon as I walked through the doors and never returned. My experience as a customer was never the best either, large steps and with a double buggy its a struggle getting it up, no offer of help or holding the door open (which I did offer when I worked there...) being ignored and astronomically overpriced stuff. My advice to anyone wondering what its like to work here, maybe steer clear unless youre of the cliquey, gossiping, gang up on someone disposition, if youre not, youll find yourself at the brunt of it. Extremely disappointed with my time here and what ive written isnt even half, and good luck getting anyone at HR or above to take you seriously when you flag it. I gave the post 2 stars because I genuinely loved the customers that came in and built up such a good rapport with them. Such a shame
