Arena River Cruises

If you like fine dining with typically ,unfit for human consumpttion, delights of leg of rabbit stew , catfish etc. This is the company for you. Pay for a drinks package natively believing its value for money and be given one glass per meal, if you are lucky, of obvious dregs. Do not go to the Danube Delta as booked despite 2 days prior to sailing being categorically assured there was no problem with the river depth ? Be made all sorts of false promises including refunds for lower grade cabin, pre paid excursions now free etc These are just a very few of the lowlights of a supposed 2 week rivercruise on Bolera sailing from Passau to the Delta and back Put your complaints issues in writing as requested. Then on your return find Arena has gone into administration so no refunds and no response to letters or emails They may still be trading as Arena and you speak to the same people, but legally they are now a different company under thr Leger Shearings umbrella BEWARE DO NOT PART WITH YOUR HARD EARNT MONEY 6,000 wasted Oh I had to give 1 star or it did not allow me to post thr review ! .

Although the on board staff (waiters cleaners) etc were fabulous, the Management were very disorganised and the entertainment was terrible

Awful holiday experience. Most staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. You have 2 very large cruise directors which is 1 to many; And they favoured the biggest coach companies because they wanted more money for excursions. The hotel manager was a waste of time even employing in any role. The food was variable, and sometimes the meat was not cooked properly with blood showing. Some of our cutlery was missing at every meal. We sometimes got charged twice for drinks. 2 excursions were changed for the worst that did not even materialise. We had Covid on board the ship. Entertainment was the worst I have ever witnessed... a racist Hungarian out of tune organist. The crew on the ship were dilly dally about with departure, made us 1 hour late, we missed our ferry from Calais - NOT HAPPY!!! I only give 1 star, as our cabin was cleaned perfectly. Apart from that, I would avoid at all costs !
