We were recommended to Leaf Architecture after a disastrous experience with our first architect. We came to Richard with a fully approved set of plans which were soon discarded in favour of a design more sympathetic to the site location and features. Richard stopped us making a big mistake and it has been a pleasure working with him - even when he doesnt agree with you hes very nice about it! He has supported us all the way through the planning process, and is continuing to work with us as we embark on the build phase. I would thoroughly recommend Leaf Architecture as a practice and Richard as a creative, constructive and supportive individual to work with.

We have worked with Leaf Architecture on three very different projects since 2014. We have found them to be very professional, always offering constructive advice. Leaf Architecture have always transformed our vague plans into something which is both practically realisable and an enhancement of our own ideas. Our most recent project has been a new house. Leaf Architecture's care and attention to detail has achieved full planning permission with minimal fuss and even a compliment from the conservation officer.

From the minute Richard walked through the door we knew he had something special. He took our needs for now, and the future, and produced our own unique design. Apart from our first on site meeting we were restricted by Covid lockdown but we never felt we missed out in any way, with regular telephone conference calls and ideas passing between us. What we particularly appreciated was Richard always called back when he said he would, we never ever had to chase him, making what could have been a stressful time very smooth. We continued to call on Richard beyond our planning for his professional advise in other areas, such was the trust we have in his professionalism.

Very rarely do I recommend professionals and services, but I have no hesitation with Richard at Leaf Architecture. Since 2016 when we originally started our full house renovation, Richard has been there with us along the way. The project was a turning a dilapidated 3 Bed detached house into 4 bed. Essentially a two storey extension approx adding 90 square metres to the original footprint. This in many ways is harder than a new build, integrating the new and existing. The project was delayed, (In a good way with the arrival of our first child). Throughout all of this Richard has never lost his enthusiasm and commitment to our project from the first day we met him over 4 years ago. Even though he must be extremely busy he has always given us all the time to talk through ideas, materials and double checking dimensions etc and never once have we felt pressured. As just homeowners / non builders, Richard has answered all our questions, even the silly ones. Richards willingness to listen to our requirements for our family home and then take this to a level we never imagined possible is a testament to his craft. If youre after a consummate professional to deliver detailed accurate plans, beautifully designed 3D sketches combined with just the right amount of creative flair that we wanted for our project with all the practicality a family home requires then contact Leaf Architecture, you will not be disappointed.
