If youre looking for a dealership that will waste your time and money, this is the one for you. I saw a van that I was I keen on purchasing advertised with themselves. Gave them a call on the Tuesday, mentioned that I would like to come and see it and purchase on the weekend. Explained that it was a fair drive for myself, over 400 miles and would be taking a day off on the Friday, staying over in Birmingham on the Friday night and continuing my journey in the morning. I asked if he wanted to take a deposit off me and he explained that there was no need as he was away on holiday until the Friday and the van would not get sold. So off I went booking accommodation, sorting out holiday, transferring funds and booking a hire car to come and purchase the van on the weekend. Friday comes and bearing in mind there had been contact throughout the week asking for registration number to sort out insurance etc, they messaged me at 10am asking if I was still interested as they had a couple of other potential customers lined up. I said yes and asked again, do you want a deposit from me. No reply. By this time we started our journey and thought nothing of it. At 4:30, 6 hours and a half later as I was sitting down in the hotel they messaged to say unfortunately theyd decided to put the van in the hire fleet and it was no longer for sale. That they had a contract with a local company that needed a van on a long term hire basis and this would generate more money for the company in the long run. So all in all, a terrible experience. Wasted my weekend and being an emergency service worker, I dont get a lot of time off these days. Wasted a hotel room, hire car and fuel. They also run a separate company called R&S Engineering Motor services. Which only a few weeks prior on their Facebook page mentioned that they were having a lot of people booking in for services & MOTs and not turning up. Quite ironic really, I think you should practice what you preach Matt.
