Archie provided very fast and courteous service. However the first stove lighting was not a success. It needed a lot of lighters to get it going and the fire hissed. That means the wood was not to kiln dried level. On most occasions the stove lit well. But on several the problem returned and always with the sound of logs that have too high a moisture content. It takes a long time to get any heat out of such logs. When the wood did burn it did not last long. So I suspect it was not a mix with a high oak or similar content. Perhaps I got a rogue batch. But on my evidence I could not recommend.

So happy to have found Archie and Oak Farm Firewood. Great wood and suitably dry - I got the seasoned and it comes in c. 14%, so very good for the woodburner. Archie is very flexible on delivery timings and really helpful getting the ton bags unloaded where you want them.

I use Oak Farm Firewood every year to stock my woodshed. Good value, pleasure to deal with and always deliver on time. Highly Recomend.
