Loved the roast dinner

It's such a shake I am having to write this review however, it must address the experience I was given today. I went with my two children and it started well enough, was given a table near the play area which was great and the waitress got our order fairly quickly. Food arrived on time too. Ordered two kids mains and a burger for myself which was very well cooked and delicious. Unfortunately, this is where I must now be quite critical of the service. For a Saturday, the place was not busy however, once we had finished eating. No one came to our table to check if everything was alright and after waiting for over an hour after finishing our meals, I had had enough of waiting. I looked at two members of staff and waved at another and no one acknowledged us. I was fully intending on getting desserts but due to feeling isolated the way I did. I had to eventually go over to the bar in order to pay for my meal. I expressed my experience but the staff member did not seem to care. This was a clear example on how poor service overshadowed the delicious food which I would have accepted if the place was busy however, it wasn't and there was no excuse possible to having waited to the point I had to walk to the bar to pay for my meal. It's a true shame because the food was delicious.

Friendly staff, clean, accommodated our Cockerpoo. Food well priced and nicely cooked.
