A lovely little site, very clean facilities obviously well maintained. A road nearby but to be honest it was soon forgotten. A few roosters patrols along with a peacock and pea hens (think that's what the females are called) even black sheep and an Aberdeen Angus. Not to far to walk to Lyndon nature reserve, and Rutland Water along with Normanton Church. We shall certainly return if we get the chance. Restrooms: Very clean with all you need,

Lovely well kept site but various issues when you actually stay there - * Ridiculously expensive, having come from Cornwall where we paid 16 for one night on a beautiful well kept site with excellent amenities, this was considered not good value for money at 39 for the night (campervan hookup and two dogs). They only accept cash as can't do online banking, and with no cash point nearby you have to be organised and bring it! We weren't and although I messaged the owner apologising and asking for bank details I am yet to receive a reply, only a charge to my card of 3 more than the agreed price. I assume a bank fee but I have no idea as communication is non existent. * Very close to a busy road where cars seem to go very fast, and the gate was often left open which is worrying when you have dogs. * Not as close to Rutland Water as you may think. It's close to the nature reserve and took us about 20/25 mins to walk there. When we got there, we couldn't get close to the water for love nor money. * They keep dogs out in kennels and birds (peacocks among others) roaming free so suffice to say our own dogs went a bit crazy. * They don't provide toilet roll! Probably in the small print somewhere but still a bit of a random thing to not provide, especially for the price!
