Fox & Crown

Came here on the 22nd April 2023. It was a Saturday but it wasn't overally busy and a lot of the big tables were reserved. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, only for my chips to come out barely warm so had to send them back to get some hot ones, of which they were mixed with the original chips and some that had been kept warm again but were slightly warmer than the first lot. The manager on shirty got very shirty with my Mum after she asked him to check on our order. There was only 1 waitress on the floor who was absolutely rushed off her feet and didn't seem to catch a breath. Whilst other staff stayed behind the bar of which wasn't that busy. I won't be coming again to this venue. I used to be a huge fan of the Fox and Crown but the food has gone way down hill and the service. I'd like to say that the ONLY waitress I saw throughout my whole stay did an amazing job even with little help.

The steak ( 3meals - childrens/ mixed grill & surf turf and cluck) was too chewy with most of the steak inedible due to fat & gristle. But the chips and sausage and gravy was really nice The service people did a nice job The pudding was delicious well done
