Please take my advice & avoid this garage at all costs. It's garages like this that give all good honest hard working mechanics a bad name.
I took my wife's Audi A3 here as it was easier with only working a few miles away.
I booked it in for the rear discs and pads to be changed, haldex oil change and Dsg Poland filter change.
The owner was really pleasant and friendly and that is were the positive experience ends.
When I got the car back & with not using the garage before I thought I would pop underneath and check the Haldex unit. To my suprise the pump on the Haldex unit had not been removed which is where the filter is contained and requires cleaning before new oil is added.
I then took the tray off at the front, which appeared from the nuts to not have been touched and checked the nut on the bottom of the gearbox, again this appeared to have been untouched.
I suspect that they did however change the filter on the gearbox but not change the oil and then reset the gearbox.
I phoned the owner and challenged him regarding my suspicions. He was adamant that the work had been done and then stated that he may have forgot to remove the Haldex pump as he had been busy that day. He didn't forget to charge me for doing it tho did he.
The owner quickly refunded me 240 which said all that I need to know.
The brake discs and pads are clearly the cheapest around as two weeks in and they are rusting like crazy.
I have reported the garage to Trading standards and Action Fraud.
Luckily I'm able to climb under my car and check the work has been done but others rely on trust & honesty and this garage clearly has none at all.
