I wouldnt even give it 1 star !! On behalf of my partner who is currently sitting in prison in recall awaiting release after not being charged with a false allegation made by his ex, weve been waiting 3 weeks for whoever in the probation service is dealing with his case ro actually do something proactive. Its the general census from various other local organisations (police/social services/solicitors) that Mansfield Probation Office is a complete disgrace. I really have no idea what these people are paid to do. They are never available to talk to! Constantly in some meeting or another! Off on holiday! Its almost a standing joke that they are so quick to respond if youre not conforming (in their opinion) despite having genuine reasons such as employment etc but when you actually need them to do what they get paid for they just do not care! Surely their role is to rehabilitate people back into society, it appears they have more satisfaction keeping non guilty people in prison unnecessarily than actually being proud of helping people get into regular lives. This place needs to be reviewed by someone with authority so once Ive finished writing this review I will be contacting The National Probation Office to explain all failings within this local organisation!

It's my first conviction at 43 years old so its been a steep learning curve. I have to say its been very supportive. There were a few issues in the first 6 months but probation have helped me over the barriers I've faced. Adapted to my mental health and I receive great support off my probation worker Eve. I couldn't of done this without her.

Only reason it's not a 5 is because they constantly change your probation worker. Being autistic it completely throws me and have to get to know yet someone else new. Can relate to the fears of the other reviewers. You don't dare miss an appointment, because then you are in fear of being recalled back to prison, because you have to be seen to be "engaging." On the whole they have been accommodating due to my disabilities and addiction issues. I'm nearly 60 so got to make that change.

I'm not happy about having to give one star! It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say Mansfield probation service, has ruined my life. Too much interference too early on too many occasions. I have witnessed now for over 25 years, the decline in its ability to be muchh use to those they vow to guide discipline & protect. I intend to Write about me horrible experiences I've Been through over the last decade and a half. I'm quite a talented writer and as soon as I'm free from the shackles of arrival square, to freely write about what& whome till my hearts content. I've experienced some shocking experiences over the years and I'm determined to Expose those whom have chosen their possision of power, to gain sick self gratification having power & control over someone's life!
