I got a job working for Bhandal, but I was very shocked at the distance I had to go for the training - 17 miles, so I felt I was unable to take the job.

I work for Bhandal Homecare and have done for nearly two years. There are two offices, one in Mansfield and one in Ollerton. The one in Ollerton is the main office, its where you do your first lot of training and sometimes extra training when its needed (when your certificate runs out). You also do online training yearly but this is added onto your rota so you know when the work needs doing. You also get paid for all your training. The wage is above minimum wage. You also get paid for travelling between calls and mileage. You get your uniform and PPE for free too. I mainly have contact with the Mansfield office as that's where I do my work. There are two staff members there. They are Michelle and Karen. They are both great at their jobs and passionate. They work with you when life gets in the way which has happened to me a few times in the last year. These two women went above and beyond to help me out when needed. Give me support when needed and just checking up on me regularly. Couldn't thank them enough. The dealings I have had with the staff at Ollerton has always been good and supportive too. They set on drivers and walkers, with or without experience. I work 3 set days a week then every other weekend due to being a single mum. So they listen and give you work you can do to suit your needs at home. Yes you could read this review and say I am just saying this because I work for them and that is true. However I have worked in care for 10 years and have my NVQ level 2, so I could get a job with any care company as I have the experience and passion needed. However I have been with these for 2 years this coming December and have no desires to leave.
