I used to attend Aquila karate club with my 3 sons. We all got so much out of our time there and only left due to a sudden change in circumstances. One of my sons misses it so much he is wanting to take up karate again and is currently looking for a club where he now lives (sadly much too far away from Aquila). So far he has struggled to find one that he has been as happy at as he was at Aquila but hasn't given up. The club is very friendly and quickly becomes like a second family. The support received when my daughter passed away was overwhelming. Truly caring and dedicated people! And it equally patient with adults and children of all abilities. Highly recommended!!

A friendly environment for adults and children to learn traditional Wado Ryu Karate. Membership includes family groups where parents bring children and join to take advantage of the health benefits, confidence building and general friendship within the club.

Both my children go to this karate club and they really enjoy it! Fantastic club run by a fantastic couple! We have been to other karate clubs and this is the best so far!

Fantastic club. Very friendly like a big happy family. I trained with this club for quite a while but due to family commitments I no longer have the time to train. Tony and Selina are fantastic instructors. I completely disagree with the comment made by Kevin. They give their time to all belts and people of all ages. Come along and have a go. It's a great way of keeping fit and I guarantee Tony and Selina will welcome you. That will motivate you and encourage you to learn karate. It's brilliant

I found Aquila Karate entirely by chance when I first start, and I am so glad I did! A brilliant place, and Tony and Selena are extremely passionate and talented teachers. They often have up to 20 people per class but manage to get around everyone and give them personal input consistently. In response to Kevin, I understand the frustration with having to repeat things you have done before such as Kata's, but karate includes training the mind and body to the point where you respond physically without having to think much about it, and Kata's are a key part of this, which also includes the repetition of them. Aquila has trained a boatload of people from white to black belts and onwards, and you'll make friends along the way!
