Buying a commercial vehicle unseen can be a daunting prospect but the personalised video walk around and large number of high resolution images certainly put my mind at rest. We had the vehicle delivered over 400 miles away and all the stops were pulled to ensure we got the vehicle for a tight deadline, it arrived exactly when promised. The minor cosmetic issues were resolved as promised and the vehicle was able to be put to use straight away. Thank you again Jordan.

Very dissappointed with service I received from Mansfields branch today. Service department failed to ring me during the day for an update on the diagnostic outcome. I had to ring back twice myself. Then I was told that a specialist Citroen garage couldn't mend my Citroen car, but better still with all the contacts, dealerships, garages they know, that they have both nation and world wide, they were unable to recommend a garage to me that could mend my car ???? REALLY? . If Citroen can't mend a Citroen car,? Then who can? I feel I have been ill adviced and ill treated all day. And charged for the pleasure of this ill treatment. As a childminder I need to make sure my car is safe and fit for purpose every journey. My parents trust me with their children. I work from 7.30am to 6pm each day, so it's not easy to book a car appointment., hard to get the car there and back without a tribe of children in tow, re arranging many families and their schedules. A bit of understanding, flexibility and courtesy would have been nice. I had arranged to take my car the eve before, drop off keys and the diagnostic was booked for 8am... I assumed it would be done by midday, so any work and parts needed could be ordered and work completed by the afternoon. No... I think if I had not rung at 12.10pm my car would not have been looked at , at all. I got the impression the staff were not interested about me, the car or the fact that parents had to collect their children early so I could collect my car. I was just a money tag. A diagnostic test at 120. For citroen to tell me they can't mend the problem and they dont know where I can take my car so it can be mended.... just ridiculous. A young lad on reception, too immature, nieve and new to realise how important front of house is... to not ring a customer with an update, too young to understand the complications that customers have in getting their cars to and from the garage. With just a few given phrases which he's learnt and not engage in any form of welcoming understanding. When people bring a car in to be assessed or repaired, it's usually with a whole string of complications as to their day, commitments, urgencies, finances time constraints, difficulties being without their car... nope, this young lad has not been educated with the necessary skills to reassure a customer their car will be sorted and the customer will be looked after. Nope not a chance. So I'm 120 down, car still not mended, I still have no idea where to go to get it fixed, I still have to arrange another day with parents where I can't collect or drop off and we have to remain house bound all day.... I'm just so astonished i take a Citroen car to a Citroen dealer, waste a day, get charged 120, get poor customer service and the garage can't or it feels they just don't want to mend my car or recomend to me a garage who can mend my car.... I'm flabbergasted. Guaranteed I will not return to this garage and I will not recommend it either.

I have recently purchased a vehicle from these guys and in all honesty the experience was not a good one. I will say the price of the vehicle and the valuation offered on my part exchange was good which I do appreciate however the overall experience and service has been poor. They originally agreed to sell me different car but then realised someone else had actually bought it - an honest mistake perhaps. Any communication was painfully slow with responses sometimes often taking days to come back. There was a dishonesty about the whole thing where they may not have lied but did purposefully withheld important information regarding the cars service history, how many keys, date of last service etc, etc. It's the kind of stuff that should have been mentioned up front rather than them hoping I wouldn't notice. The whole process of purchasing the car took over a month and required a lot of chasing on my part. When the car was delivered it was actually driven from Mansfield to Exeter adding 225 miles to the vehicle and it arrived absolutely filthy inside and out, the car had to be valeted afterwards as it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly since the previous owners kids were in it. The car is also due a cam belt change within 7 months which is something you would expect to be done by most reputable garages but they refused to do this. Once I received the car I also noticed there was damage to one of the wheels which they agreed to have repaired but hadn't done. There are also several stone chips down to the paint which were supposed to be remedied but had not been. On both of these I have contacted them to have them fixed but have continually been passed between the Exeter Evans Halshaw Car Store (which are about has helpful as Mansfield and more rude) and the Mansfield branch with neither actually fixing the issues. In comparison to competitors which I have recently dealt with they have been really poor with no benefits or plus points to the over all service and experience other than the reasonable pricing. Following this experience I would not recommend any part of the Evans Halshaw or Car Store organisation and suggest people pay a tiny bit extra for peace of mind and proper customer service. EDIT: I'm reducing the rating to 1 star as the response below is a complete lie: I let them know about the issues 7 weeks ago, have been into my local branch twice and still have had nobody contact me to arrange the repair - Exeter have apparently not even received a response from Mansfield. Also the lack of a key was mentioned in the video of the car...that was sent the night before the car was delivered when the purchase had already been made so please enough of the nonsense. Your own "policy states that any serious paint chips will be filled in prior to delivery which they were not - unsurprisingly these were not clearly visible in a video taken at dusk on a phone camera.
