We stayed at Two Hoots Cottage Guest House whilst completing the Pennine way last week. Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. After a long day we were welcomed with a comfy bed, stunning bathroom with a deep, free standing roll top bath and fantastic meal. Before arriving we let Pat know we are vegan and she went out of her way to ensure we were well catered for. Pat clearly loves cooking and trying new things so really rose to the challenge. We had a vegan chilli with rice and brocolli followed by the most fantastic vegan dessert I have ever eaten, a raspberry and pistachio tart (Pat kindly shared the recipe so I can try to recreate at home). For breakfast we had a full English complete with vegan bacon and sausages which was just what we needed to set us up for the day. The portions were generous and small touches like providing non dairy milk for tea/coffee in our room were much appreciated. Whether you are walking the Pennine way or looking for somewhere to stay nearby for any other reason I cannot recommend two hoots highly enough.
