My partner and I had a wonderful time at Jacks Cottage when we visited last year, everything was perfect for our romantic Christmas getaway to the Peak District. Highly recommended. Longnor is a charming village, plenty to see and do in terms of walks and pubs. The cottage itself is simply charming from the original flagstone floors to the quirky little staircase. Magical! Little touches like the bottle of wine were very welcome after the drive from London. The whole place felt very Christmassy - we loved the original fire to keep us toasty in the evenings. Fab comfy bed, crisp sheets and great shower too. Currently contemplating a second visit!Edit: May, 2021: finally returned for that second visit! The cottage is very covid safe, the owner has gone to a lot of effort to ensure the cottage is very clean and tidy. Seeing Longnor in the sun was stunning, really meant we could get out and explore the local walls a little. Cant recommend this cottage highly enough!

My children and I had an incredible stay at Jack's Cottage earlier this month. The cottage is in a gorgeous and picturesque village, a stone's throw from The Heights Of Abraham, Chatsworth House and so much more. The cottage was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard. Every comfort had been considered including a hot tub, which the children LOVED! We were greeted with a delicious welcome hamper when we arrived and the information booklet was incredibly helpful; sharing suggestions for places to visit during our stay, as well as information about the cottage. Our evenings were spent lounging by the wood burning stove and watching family films on Netflix; the perfect way to end a very busy day! Thank you very much such a wonderful stay and we will most definitely be back again... next time for longer!
