This care home is disgusting and poor evil. I say this because they have mistreated my mother in every way you could possibly think of to the point she had to be admitted into hospital for treatment and care. Now they have refused my mother to be returned back to avril house so the assestment can be completed before she moves on to a permanant place. (A blessing in disguise) The staff there must not be trusted and thier decessions on administering medicinces to your loved one by the nurses are wrongly given causing my mother major problems. I have been physically attacked by other residents there when visiting my mother on more than one occassion and they have denied it ever happened. They have spoken to me with regards to my mother with detest and outright disrespect...i could tell you more but from top management to all the staff there at avril house thier treatment is less than poor in all aspects of care. DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER AS THEY WILL MISTREAT THEM TO THIER DEATH. NOT WORTHY OF A STAR.......BUT WON'T LET ME POST WITHOUT ONE....

I would give nil if I could . I would say to anyone who is thinking of sending your loved ones to this care home. Think again. From my experience, the level of care, empathy ,dignity is severely lacking . Staff are cold . communication is poor . I would say to you think twice and strongly recommend you look for alternatives .i I quote . we have failed to meet your mothers basic needs and have decided not to continue their care. Their decision Has now left my mum in a hospital bed at the age of 77 homeless.

After A Whole Year Of Lockdown & A Change In Management I Was So Thankful For The Care That My Father Had Received From The Staff Who Had To Work Under Extreme conditions & Circumstances. Although What Seems To Have Been A Very Long Year+ In LOCKDOWN My Family Has Noticed A Heartbreaking Decline In His Overall Condition. My Father Was Happily Working With The Staff Settling Into His New Surroundings Unfortunately We Didn't Know That He Would Never Speak To Us Or Recognize That His Family Are In The Same Room. We Would Like To Know If The Number Off People Visiting At Least once *Maximum Group* For Example SON BROTHERS SISTER GRAND DAUGHTER It Might Help With My Father's Condition. I Would Be Grateful If AVRILL HOUSE Could Say If You're Aware Of Any Other Residents Gaining Interest In Whose Around Them. This Is Heartbreaking For All Of Us When You Can See Upto 5 People Starting On The 19th May 2020. If Such An Event Is Arranged As Soon As Possibly Could Be. Thank You Again For Swiftly Answering Our Thoughts & Questions. Let's See What Happens When We All Want The Same Thing. Some Improvements In His Mind.
