I live in Hulme, years ago we had roughly 30pubs in our area. Now there are 0,so we had a run up to Withington. We called in a pub called the Albert, on entering we noticed it was quite small, just one room. There were about 6 people in there, it wasn't long before a few people started chatting to us. An hour or so later a few more customers came in, & they also started speaking to us. There was a really good atmosphere in the place, locals were asking us if we would call back there. We said YES, we certainly would, we left about 3 hours later, Planning on returning in the next couple of weeks.

(Translated by Google) Dave was amazing. Despite his heroin addiction, he has managed to cultivate a fantastic atmosphere. Luckily he was there to help our friend having a bad trip in the toilet. Thanks again (Original) Dave was incredible. Despite his heroin addiction, he has managed to cultivate a fantastic atmosphere. Heureusement qu'il etait l pour aider notre ami faisant un badtrip dans les toilettes. Encore merci

The table has a fantastically intricate marble pattern; oh how it glistens under the John smiths stick. My eyeballs singed by the bright fluorescent lights. I could stay here all night! The Manc accent reverberates around this depressing establishment. Altogether fantastic evening for a meet up with the old IRA lads, only feeling a slight headache from the copious John smiths and the psychiatric hospital style lighting.
