Took just under a month to return deposit after chasing them with emails and calls everyday having been told 10 days latest. Slow replies to emails and flat was not properly ventilated. Would not recommend.

Fantastic agency. Small family run business which provide a great service. Maintenance dealt with always with confirmed dates and times off there maintenance staff. Penny, Amanda and Lucy at the agency are great. Been renting for 6 years and was sad to leave. 1st class agency would highly recommend.

Previous tenant of 3 years: (2018). I recommend to anyone having issues with checkus properties to get in touch with, shelter a charity. They have their own legal team where if necessary can get involved. I have had success with taking legal action due to laws being broken with late deposit protection. However, I would never have done this if it was not for their lack of accountability and how I was treated my entire stay of living in one of their properties. The council was also successful with getting mould from leaks sorted and ventilation. My experience of the landlord / checkus is they are not honest (2017). The worse "family run business". I have been harassed and lied to my entire tenancy stay. They collected a deposit and protected it two years after being given it. They then go onto say, it was last months rent and it is a new thing they have to do. Speaking with others tenants this is not true and they protected other tenants deposit. They do no repairs to the flat unless I got the council involved. I'm expecting that from other reviews that I will not get my deposit back in a timely frame manner. They also allow a particular tenants dedicate who lives in the building; which ends up with a family having to leave. There is plenty more I could say about the unprofessional company that has broke laws and will lie to you all the time. Reported to the council and trading standards.

Appalling letting agency. Lied from the outset, dont pick up emergency number, bodged repairs, out of date gas certificates, dont pick up the phone, dont reply to emails, no inventory when we moved in, agent didnt know what belonged to the flat. Let down regularly, lost their set of keys, didnt return deposit in time, didnt deal with a formal complaint... the list goes on. If I could give -5 stars I could. Stay well clear if possible.
