This company work as a contractor on behalf of Homeserve. They sent their engineer (I think he was called N.Wood but his hand writing was hard to read) to fix a problem with the hot water running tepid. Our central heating was working fine. It took their engineer 9 days and 4 visits including replacing 2 parts at a cost to Homeserve of around 300 before declaring the boiler to be beyond economical repair. After his second visit he left us with no hot water at all and remarkably after his 3rd visit he had messed with the boiler so much that the heating also would not work despite us never having a problem with the heating in the first place. As a result of this incompetence we had insufficient or no heating and hot water all over Christmas and New Year! Eventually on the 29th December he declares that all of his messing around and changing parts have been unsuccessful and his final stab at the dark is that the main heat exchanger has gone and the boiler is beyond economical repair. He also said we need a powerflush of our radiators despite us never having any problems with the radiators going cold or the heating failing. My local plumber who is going to sort out the mess he has left has said that a power flush is completely unessasary in a system which has presented no problems other than tepid tap water. At no point in any of this process did he apologise for ruining our Christmas and in fact the day he caused the heating to stop working he didnt even tell us, just said he needed to order another part and drove off leaving us to discover that the boiler was completely switched off at the mains! To top off a truly awful experience he left us with a boiler which not only doesn't work at all, but now is dripping with water which we are using a container to catch. So from reporting hot water not running quite hot enough but nothing wrong with the heating we are left with a boiler completely unusable and leaking. Thanks to complete plumbing and drainage services!
