I have worked for a few agencies but I have to say Pulse is the best agency I have worked for. I have been working for Pulse for 12 years now, they are great.

Tried to join the agency a while ago as a band 6 RMN with 13 years Spoke to a rude lady who was not interested as I am a community RMN and dont have C&R training. Not sure what type of agency doesn't allow a registered nurse join.

Very greedy agency owners. They pay the nurses only 30% of what they charge the NHS! The only training they offer is basic mandatory training and nothing else, to be honest as a full time agency, they don't care about your CPD (continuous professional development) by offering training to enhance your skills and keep up with up date evidence based practice. They'll charge you 87 each for a basic mandatory training certificate- they can keep it. All they care about is making more of you. They don't compensate for last minute bookings, self bookings and cancellations. Unlike other agencies, they didn't bother informing if the latest changes or offering any information how it would affect angency workers- as long as they earn them money, that's all they really care about. On top of that, I've just found out, that they have reduced the pay rates (10%) even further on top of the HRMC changes for those under umbrella companies now who will have FOUR DEDUCTIONS PER SHIFT ( PAYE tax, NI, Employers' NI ??? and company fee). I bet you the hospitals didn't reduce the rate any further, but the greedy company basically wants to increase their profit margin by making the nurses work for a pittance.
