I assume that they use third party companies to cold call people to tout for business shortly after an accident. They had my details and I don't really know how because I have not given them out to anyone. In any case, the woman on the phone (from the third party company) was pretending to be on behalf of my insurer. I eventually figured it out shortly after she sent me a document to sign. It's a scam because she was trying to trick me into signing a document where this company (Veritas) would represent me for a "no win no fee" claim. I told her that I will read through it in my own time and she kept trying to get me to sign it there and then. I have had no interaction with Veritas and everything that I have learned was from speaking to the tout and carefully reading through the document. I would suggest that you don't even try to read through the document though (sent via docusign), as if you accidentally click in the wrong place then they have your digital signature, and I don't know how legally binding that is.

Scam / ambulance chaser. Lied to me, tried to gather facts until the penny dropped. Tried to make it sound like I was entitled to money and pushed my levels of injury. What is wrong with this country that allows these companies to operate?

This company called me 7 weeks ago and said and they said a physical examination will take place by 6 weeks maximum. I have received nothing from them in terms of contact since they took my details and they dont have a website or a contact number. I have reported this company to trading standards and the fraud department with the police. Avoid, seems they are stealing information and not claiming anything. I will change this if they contact back but I am 95% sure this wont happen.
