Wouldnt refund me due to there auto renew. Was forced to hold cover for a year which I didnt need.

Took out a public liability policy with these guys as I work on the railways for my own LTD company. I opted for the additional income insurance. After 4 months I found out through a friend they only actually pay out 150 a week if your off sick or injured! Obviously this is useless so I asked what's the highest payout. Then for an extra 11 a month I was offered a payout of 80% of earnings capped at 500 a week, which is much better. On Monday I was diagnosed with covid and told to isolate for 10 days. These bandits are saying they won't pay out for the first 7 days. At no point was this made clear when taking out the policy, I have a daughter to feed I'm a single father and you've just had my eyeballs out for months taking payments from me with no intention of paying out when I genuinely needed it. Should be ashamed of yourselves.
