I visited Pam to stop smoking. She made me feel so comfortable and took time to get to know my background during the appointment. This is the only way I have been able to successfully stop smoking. I have tried for years trying out different methods, but with Pam's hypnotherapy it's been the easiest by far. I would recommend to anyone who wants to quit.

I did hypnotherapy with Anne for my phobia of vomit. I was putting off reviewing as I hadn't actually vomited. So while I was feeling calmer in a variety of different situations I didn't know how well it had actually done. However the proof is in the pudding (or toilet in this case), I went a bit hard on New Years Eve and spent the next day vomiting. No crying, no panic attacks, just got it done. I can now actually understand when people say 'It will make you feel better'! I would definitely recommend them :)

I initially sought help from Pam and after some delay and chasing, I finally received a response and was allocated to one of her colleagues. I saw this nice lady twice but then stopped for reasons generally beyond her control but which still left me very dissatisfied with several factors. First of all, I was moved to a different room when attending my second session. This, along with a case of mistaken identity on my second visit (greeted by the wrong name) was very unsettling and not at all confidence-inspiring. Furthermore, during this second session, we were also interrupted during the relaxation phase by a very loud conversation between the builder and a lady (that turned out to be Pam herself) immediately outside the window of the downstairs room we were in. This completely distracted me and, along with the change of room and incorrect name on arrival left me feeling as if I was just another punter to be wheeled in and out. When charging the amounts concerned (75 an hour) I would expect a much more consistent, relaxing and professional experience. I also found some of the assertions made (eg, statements about physical states that were far more conjecture than fact) rather patronising as if to state them was all that was required to be believed. On the whole, I feel my experience was extremely poor value for money. ADDENDUM: Having now received professional help from the NHS, I can now re-iterate what a dreadful experience I had at the hands of Pam, who was insulting and unprofessional when I originally complained. Yes, it's clear that some people are satisfied (about two dozen, no more) but I am not alone in finding her somewhat second-rate. I showed her appalling responses to my politely phrased complaint to professional practitioners, all of whom were horrified at the deeply unpleasant and personal attack Pam made on my character and mental state. I have furthermore been assured that I was in no way psychotic or aggressive during any of the excellent and successful treatment I have enjoyed through the NHS in the two years since Pam's dreadful treatment of my case. I would most certainly advise Caveat Emptor, especially as you will note that whilst she has addressed other negative criticism, she has failed to respond to the above review, which I submitted shortly after these unfortunate events. If you want to put my comments into some sort of perspective, please see the hundreds of other reviews I have submitted over the years as a Google Reviewer of significant experience. Please also note that the vast majority of my hundreds of reviews are positive and always try to give credit where it's due. Please compare this balanced approach to the two dozen reviews by other clients of Pam's. It doesn't make very convincing reading in that context does it?
