I attended the loctician course with Elena and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. She is a natural teacher with an abundance of patience and kindness. I had never picked up a crotchet needle before, and after only 4 days I feel comfortable and happy to continue gaining experience of creating dreadlocks. Elena made sure to inform us of all of the important things to know regarding dreadlocks e.g religion, spiritual practice etc, which I think is a really vital part. It was lovely to understand more of the background and importance of dreadlocks. Elena made me feel so welcome, always offering a lovely cup of coffee. Her shop is the perfect setting for learning, it's calm and clean and she always provided great tunes I would recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in creating locs, Elena is the perfect teacher. After having my dreads done by someone else, I wasn't overly happy with the result. Some of them had become very loose and they were a bit of a mess! Elena did an awesome job of fixing them and made them look exactly how I wanted. She was so friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. Even the shop has a cool relaxing vibe with decor an items from all over the world It was an honour to be in the presence of someone who has made the life they want through hard work and dedication to thier craft, in which she is clearly an expert, a true modern day goddess.
