Training in Jujitsu and Bujitsu every Monday, at St Werburgh's Church Hall. The Sensei is Jacob Sibley Kyoshi 8th Dan. Unarmed and weapons techniques are taught; the weapons include sword, jo, bo and hanbo. This is a club teaching the combat and self defence form of Jujitsu not the sport form. I've been training here for over 20 years now and am still learning. The club has just the right mix of good humour and rigour; real world applicability and traditional technique. This is mindful martial arts where it's all about understanding what you're doing and discovering the principles that are at work... and it isn't pompous or self-regarding which can be a problem with some styles and clubs. It is friendly and welcoming to everyone who wants to train, regardless of previous experience.
