I reminded myself of what I've been missing for the first time in a few years. I got cod, chips and mushy peas to take away. I got home 3 minutes later and devoured the lot even though my eyes were telling me there were far too many chips for my belly. The fish was lovely and I ate the chips and peas Dutch-style with lashings of mayonnaise. Altogether a sublime experience. Prices have doubled since the last time I had a chippy tea in Manchester but I've paid 50% more for fish and chips on the Yorkshire coast. Despite the ongoing price rises, I think the price point is spot on for the high quality provided here.

Our first visit to Tonys before the game at the Etihad. Really chuffed we called in ! Great chips, my meat and potato pie was delicious, wifes fish and chips beautiful, lads steak pie and chips was great ! Lovely staff too, we,ll be in again, next time we,re over from Lincoln ! Thanks guys!
