honestly, I have attended this dentist a few times. The first few times i was okay i had a male dentist very straightforward but he did the job. The first appt i had with him he actually took the time to check my teeth and i felt like i am heard. Now i have been assigned with a female dentist Theres nothing wrong with that, i am a woman too. My issue was that: i was NOT even remotely messaged or told there is a new dentist. This New dentist did an extremely fast checkup. I believe that health should not be rushed, I am also NOT an nhs patient. I PAY FOR PRIVATE care and i should be treated as such. For example: I said to her i am also getting slight wobbly teeth and sometimes i can feel them shift if i bite my lips down especially after i floss. Instead of checking properly and getting the floss out and doing a fair test she just got hold of her finger and then tried moving it. Then said no. (also, my aunt suffers with gum disease, and family suffers with bad teeth. Also been diagnosed with PCOS meaning that i am a higher risk for diabetes and i am not exactly skinny so thats an obvious point) If i pay for private care then i should therefore feel heard dont you think? I also asked if i can have floride put on my teeth she said no but if i pay for the expensive one why cant i? I am was already struggling with a strange feeling when i eat certain foods and bite down on my right back molar OH and get this she said oh come back in December because you are due for an x ray. Mind you it was like Late October( and my 2/2 6 month checkup) so it shouldnt make a difference she couldve done it there and then. I just feel like i deserve care that is actually good for me and that i am being heard and actually checked PROPERLY, with some compassion too. I am genuinely considering if i should change dentists. Im wondering if there is any other dentists that would suit me there and if so, was i even remotely considered on what dentist would be beneficial for me? or the fact that i wasnt told about this new dentist?
