I booked the bottomless disco brunch which happens on the last weekend of every month. I was excited to see what the entertainment would be like for thr first May bank holiday but was seriously disappointed! For 40 per head you get one brunch dish and then bottomless drinks. On the website it suggests there are optional cocktails you can order but when we were served we were told there was only one pre-made cherry and almond cocktail which in my opinion is a risky thing to offer with such a specific flavour profile (I personally do not like) and then a bellini or mimosa. So for someone who doesn't want prosecco the only other option is lager. They were not allowed to make other cocktails from the menu either and we waited about 20 minutes before the first drink arrived. The food was ok, and the DJ was ok, the entertainment was questionable and the restaurant wasn't really set up to be a "party" atmosphere. There are better bottomless brunch options in MCR and not as expensive as 40! I would go back for a meal or drinks but not any other event here. ------- (FIRST VISIT REVIEW) I've been inside the building a couple of times but hadn't eaten at the restaurant until now (Jan 2023) and I can't believe I waited this long! Admittedly the 50% off the main menu for January swayed me heavily but was also a great opportunity to sample a range of dishes which would have come to 50pp instead of 25ish. The service was great, although I think we had every server and host come to us at some point to deliver drinks and various dishes but they were all super friendly and welcoming. On recommendation we ordered the sesame and peanut spicy fried chicken which was bloody delicious, a version of this with just Cauliflower which somehow was even spicier but still yum! A really refreshing hasselback Courgette with Hummus, shoestring fries, chicken gyoza and the nduja mac and cheese. We also added the calamari which was slightly cold on arrival and not as crispy as we'd hoped so probably wouldn't order that dish again. But there were so many other options, and even though they were small plates they were more than enough for sharing between two and each of us got our fair share. Will absolutely be making a return trip and highly recommend making a reservation if you're in MCR as its right by Piccadilly Station so a great stop off.
