Thoroughly empressed with SMCU, so helpful, caring, and supportive throughout the whole application process. A lovely lady Andrea was dealing with my application. It was so nice to see a union treat applicants fairly, as individuals and genuinely want to help people. They have utterly restored my faith in union's, my only regret is that I didn't join sooner, especially around covid time, however I had no idea I qualified. I have found other unions to be the opposite and behaving like payday loan companies, and some not even getting back to you. SMCU deal with applicants as people. I completely understand why they have such high score reviews. If you are able to join, do it. Thankyou to the staff especially Andea, she was so encouraging when I spoke to her on the phone, incredibly sweet and helpful. Communication is A1. They use the NIVO system which is convient and efficient, the process is straightforward. Proud to be a member so far. God bless them all.
