I went here on Good Friday with friends for a 50th Birthday. The venue is a Bierkeller, so basically long benches (like a pub bench) We were running a bit late so had to try the food on offer in the Bierkeller. I ordered Currywurst, one had a Pizza & the others had Bratwursts. The pizza was quite small with minimal toppings. The Bratwursts looked ok My Currywurst....well I don't know as I didn't receive it Ordered at about 7:30pm, I then spoke to a man at the bar at about 8pm to see where it was. He said "give me 10mins I'm serving these people" 8:45pm I went back to the bar & spoke to the original order taker to ask for a refund, she said I'll get the Manager. Guess what...the "Manager" was the chap I spoke to 45mins earlier... his response was " I forgot " I asked for my refund which he duly did. So for food it's 0 Stars . The actual comedy was ok, first act was good, second ok & the third was brilliant (Brennan Reece) but no better than a local comedy night. So a decent night out with friends in Manchester ended with me in McDonald's as I was starving, not the best. I think The Comedy Store is let down by the venue

Went to the Saturday night show at the Bierkeller which seams to be a new venue for the comedy store. The pictures of the venue on Google are of their old venue. The comedians were pretty good however the venue really let the show down. Its held downstairs in its own room however its adjacent to the Bierkellers bar area so we could hear the loud music and people shouting throughout the show making it hard to hear the comedians at points and ruining the atmosphere. The seating arrangements are very strange for a comedy gig with long German style tables running parallel to the comedian and everyone facing each. There were a number of stag and hen dos who were all very drunk and heckled incoherently throughout the show with the staff taking no action at all to tell them to be quiet or remove them. Even the comedians made jokes about the bad venue and behaviour of the stag and hen dos. The food and drinks were pretty average and quite pricey for what you get. Finally 18 per ticket was pricey for just three comedians. The show lasted about two hours and had a large 30 minutes break in between the acts. Overall decent comedians but not a good venue and not worth it for the price.

Awful, vhanged from the deansgate locks site to the bierkeller, lost its mojo, expensive drinks, toilets especially ladies with blocked toilet, one without door on and no toilet roll disgusting, won't be going back.
