Being an international student, I had very little idea about the way procedures for making a CV, writing a cover letter or attending any interviews specifically in the UK, the careers services made this process very easy for me. They have very knowledgeable, welcoming professionals ready to help and great resources to keep you motivated. Although being an international student and in a niche field, the opportunities I had were many, the careers service individuals were not only motivating but very realistic of the situation, which I appreciate. I would surely recommend anyone going to the University of Manchester to pay them a visit. Even during the pandemic, they are available remotely and have adapted their services to the the current situation in terms of online interviews, online assessment centers etc.
