Glasshouse Bar and Restaurant

Situated within the Crowne Plaza Hotel. (See my other reviews) Very quiet post Christmas festivities. Clean and tidy, plush and lovely decor. Our waiter was very friendly and polite. I had the Jamaican jerk chicken with boiled potatoes. Absolutely lovely. Although I wasn't too keen on the coleslaw. Hubby had the rump steak which came with fries. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Would dine here again. Many thanks.

Terrible place. Service and food not up to standard. My mum also visited a few days we did, and her and her friends also said they waited longer than you should. This place really needs to up its game. One of the worst eating out experiences I've ever had.

Well, I was expecting something better than we got! (This was a Groupon deal, so I wasnt expecting anything outstanding) 1st: Nice welcome, seated and after 5 mins asked about drinks. (Wine was supposed to be part of the deal, but we never got this) I ordered a extra vodka and lemonade. This was made quickly but wrongly (vodka and coke) and sat at the bar for 10 mins. 10 mins was when we was asked what we would like to order and the drink was borough to me (There were on 1 other couple in the restaurant at the time. 2 more had come in, but left due to the poor service) When the drink finally arrived I informed them this was wrong. It was quickly replaced, I dont know why the 1st ordered couldnt have been so quick. The place was very quiet. 2nd: I ordered fish of the day and asked about a desert. My partner chicken wings for starter and pork belly for main. 30 mins later my main arrived with my partners starter, strange, but I thought ok, my desert might come with my partners main. My main was dry and I had two mouthfuls and left it. My partner enjoyed her starter. We were then given desert menus. My parter said she ordered a main which we was told they had forgot and it would be another 20 mins. We had been here an hour now, not received our wine, had a drink order wrong and now this. We had, had enough by now and we just requested to leave. If it was busy or short staffed we would have understood, but it was empty. 3 staff, one for the bar and 2 for the restaurant to cover by now 4 tables. This should have easily been enough. The bar area was slight more busier than the restaurant. The staff did apologise. We left and went for a pizza around the corner! Im not sure what went wrong on this visit as other feed back seemed positive. Based on our last visit it would be impossible for me to recommend this restaurant. Bad food, bad service, wrong order and missed order. I guess the bar section is much better.

If I could give 0 star I would! It's the worst dining experience ever. My bf bought a package voucher for 2 courses and a drink for each. So I ordered starter and main, and he has main and deserve instead. They bought my starter and his main out together. My starter chicken wing quite burnt and his main was like something cook from the microwave, it was bad. Later on, the waitress took our plates away and gave us the deserve menu and asked both what we want, and at this point I realize she might forgotten my main course. So I told her I'm waiting for my main course and she said she forgotten to order my main. We were the only 3 table that eating at this restaurant, it was quiet. At this point, we still not had our drink from the package. We had enough and we left. All in all, avoid this place.
