This place is a massive scam. Once you've paid your deposit they'll increase the rent price. Hardly anything works in this building, elevators, washing machines, mailboxes etc. Half of your apartment will break down within a few weeks of living there. If you do decide to move in against my recommendations, don't expect to get your deposit back at the end of your tenancy unless you're willing to take them to court. This place is an absolute joke and so is the management.

A decent place to live, love it. Every apartment has its challenges especially high rise buildings like this one. The management should look into the lift system because only a single lift out of 3 available is functioning. That said, every other thing serves a need. The gym is fair enough, could use some lower body machines. The lounge is great. The concierges Michael and Carlos are world class. Packing for cars, damn too expensive. Overall a good place to live. Accessible to all the landmark places in this gorgeous city that I love and especially my club, Manchester United.

Stay away! Extremely disorganised and money-grabbing company. Their communication is very poor, the staff make it difficult to get in contact with them in order to shirk off any responsibility and they add illegal extra fees to drain as much money as possible off you. All this and the staff in the office are pretty rude too. The staff in the building (Westpoint) are even ruder and don't want to help (unless you are a young attractive woman apparently), their postal system is a nightmare (had several items go missing, including an expensive phone. I was just told "there are more than 500 people in this building" and totally dismissed, the concierge (Carlos Rodriguez) doesn't want to interact with tenants at all. You also have to hound them for your deposit back (leave a bad review and all of a sudden they seem to respond). They take zero accountability for anything and even try and argue back with tenants that have left complaints online! Felt unwelcome and a burden the whole time I was there, stay away and find somewhere else! The concierge Carlos Rodriguez was extremely rude to me from day one; rude, aggressive and arrogant. Absolutely shocking customer service, honestly never experienced anything like it, especially considering how over-priced their apartments are. Like many other reviews have stated, the appliances such as washing machines were in a shocking state, many of them broken and no where near enough to support all the residents. They also frequently promise you a certain room, then when you arrive you are given a much smaller one or a totally different one; and once again there is zero recourse for complaints. They have tried to shove as many tiny little studio flats into the building as possible and you really feel like you are packed in like sardines. The ventilation system is terrible and if one person is smoking weed or cooking the entire corridor will take on the smell and enter your room. The heating system was very temperamental, would be OK for a few weeks then would suddenly stop working properly and would be freezing, especially as the doors on each room had about an inch gap between it and the floor; meaning freezing air from outside would just blow in anytime somebody used the stairwell, as well as other people's cooking and cigarettes/cannabis. There was also often a horrible sewage smell that came from the bathroom and there wifi would be very slow at times. The local area is also pretty rough and there is very little to do. There is a rundown, tiny Iceland nearby, a few chicken shops and cornershops and that's about it. It is pretty easy to get into the center of Manchester however, as the tram stop isn't far. However, when I was there there were often gangs of teenagers selling drugs out in the open, middle of the day so didn't particular enjoy being out and about. The apartment block is also badly situated between two main roads, so be prepared for roaring traffic constantly going by your bedroom window and exhaust fumes. The building also isn't very secure, while I was there there were local kids/teenagers that would frequently gain entry into the building and hang around. I believe that Mapartments takes advantage of the fact that many of their residents are foreign students or people in desperate situations and aren't able to view their properties before they book them. Please be aware of the positive reviews on here; it is a well known fact that the majority of them are made by staff or friends of staff in order to boost ratings and cover the fact that the majority of residents are in fact very dissatisfied with their stay. Many of the people who have left positive reviews have left positive review on all mapartment properties; I highly doubt they have stayed in every single one.....

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Had to book this place as with the Manchester student housing crisis, I had to take what I could find. Don't let these people take advantage of your desperation, Mapartments are a terrible company with some of the rudest staff I've ever interacted with. If you're a young student, find somewhere else. There's no student scene in Old Trafford and this building is not suitable for students at all, most people living here are graduates or people in work or even FAMILIES. The space stinks of weed and my floor stunk of cigarette smoke that came into my room. When I moved in, my apartment hadn't been cleaned and was mouldy, the shower drain was completely blocked with the previous tenants hair etc which resulted in a horrible sewage smell for the first couple of weeks. The security gates often break meaning random strangers can enter the building and steal. I couldn't take it anymore so I moved out, found them a replacement tenant who Mapartments GHOSTED. I had to contact the head of property management to even get acknowledged that I want to end my tenancy after waiting over a weekfor a response. Despite me finding replacement tenants, they then found themselves one who also lives at Westpoint. She paid her deposit, signed the agreement and handed the key in for her apartment whilst I vacated mine and then they ghosted her. So now she's currently living without a flat even though she's paid the deposit for my old one and Mapartments are saying I'm responsible for paying rent this month when they're literally ghosting my replacement tenant who would be more than happy to pay rent and move in. Disgusting company, would give 0 starts if I could.
