iQ Student Accommodation Hollingworth House

Its our fourth year in iQ. First in Lambert House, then Hollingworth house, them Fletcher, then Hollingworth again . I love the design and the utility package. Most importantly, the staffs here are amazing!!! Lowina, Nataliya and Bonnie (though Bonnie is left, miss her). And also the fantastic maintenance team, Garth and Teddy, always response quickly and do perfect job! Love iQ!

We paid a lot of money to stay in a private one bed apartment here. The place itself was gorgeous. Big, spacious, lovely looking converted mill, but that's where the positives ended. On the top floor for two weeks, yet the lift (which is completely inaccessible for anyone with a physical disability, btw) only worked for half a day. No one even seemed to be bothered about fixing it). Half way through the second the week of staying here, the main fuse box just randomly, and continuously, kept shutting off for the apartment. It got to a point where I could only have one light on. Everything else had to be turned off, including the boiler, which meant no hot water. Despite flagging this as a matter of urgency, an "on site" (lies) team never showed up to fix it. I essentially ended up squatting in the place for a few days. Oh, and finally, on my very first morning of waking up in this lovely apartment, i was actually woken up by a small asian guy, "from maintainence", trying to fix an unflushable toilet id apparently complained about. Your guess is as good as mine. Yes, he did also walk straight into my bedroom as i was laying on the bed, confused and naked. Tl:dnr? Avoid at all costs.

Currently living here. A student apartment building from IQ company. Pros: 1. The building is old but keep refurbishing every year. So the quality of living is great. facilities in the flat are modern and in good condition. Fast and kind response from the maintenance team is also a plus. 2. The flats have variety of large sizes and both one and two beds. 2. Location is great, 5 minutes walk to railway station, University North campus.10 minutes walk to China town and city center. 3. IQ company is trustful and can always provide high quality service to residences. (Receptionists are always extremely helpful) Cons: 1. There is no reception in this building and all parcel will be redirected to Fairfield building, which is only minutes walk though. 2. leaking of air through windows as the building is considerably old. (I hope it could be improved in the future for the purpose of saving energy consumption as well) 3. Noise level is noticeably high during daytime but also commute morning. But fair enough give that the great location.
