This has always been quite a special place. It's where the Parade meets up on Remembrance Sunday and the view overlooking the Crags is exceptional. The gradual improvements of the path and benches really enhance this place. So sad that there was no official parade in November 2020 but still a number of visitors were there. Up until the Falklands War, attendance was low but since then there's been a need to think about those who have died or affected by conflicts.
