        After giving an estimate - they went 2k over and then gave me back an engine that looked nice but wouldnt function. Took money from me way past the agreed estimate amount without asking. I foolishly trusted them. They then filed for bankruptcy at which point I thought it was pointless to persue. I ended up getting Ben Pavier of Paviersteam to sort out all the wrongs of which, all has been documented..

        Do not pay John Clarke anything in advance. Visit regularly to check progress. I am owed 1,000 paid as stage payments - no work done at all. Promised to repay me. Nothing paid back. Have had to go to court. Sadly I have heard from others who have paid much larger sums and had to go to court. He appears to keep his business afloat by taking advance payments. BE WARNED. Have also been told the quality of work is poor.
