Braxted Cottage

A lovely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with very friendly and helpful hosts. A delicious cake was waiting for us when we arrived, which we very much enjoyed. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor, and both have en suite bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable, and we all slept very well. Bathrooms were very clean and modern, and kept warm by the heated towel rails. Lounge and kitchen on the first floor. Plenty of seating and head room in the lounge/TV area. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a large dining table. A 10-minute walk into the centre of Malmesbury via the Abbey and only a short drive to either a larger Co-op supermarket or Waitrose. Plenty of good places for food in Malmesbury, either eat in or take away. A great base for exploring the surrounding area - high lights for us were Lacock Abbey and Bowood House. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed two weeks in July 2017 in the renewed Braxted Cottage, we had been there with the previous owners and it was a great experience, but with the recent renewal of furniture and beds it is now even better. The kids really enjoyed their stay as they could share the huge garden with Ruth and Dan's daughters. It is incredible how caring Ruth and Dan were, they really make you feel home. We had some friends coming over to visit and they all agreed how much they loved the house, it is on the best spot within Malmesbury and it has got everything you need. We used the provided barbecue one of the nights with some friends coming over and it was simply fantastic. Dan, Ruth, we will be coming again this summer, I will contact you shorter when I know the date, thanks so much for an unforgettable stay .

Braxted Cottage is an excellent holiday cottage. The cottage was comfortable, very clean, very well-equipped. This nice cottage is located in a street very close to the center of the beautiful village of Malmesbury. We particularly enjoyed living in this traditional English Village and visiting the wonderful fields and villages of the Cotswolds
