Brilliant place to stay and eat. We were there for two nights and ate in the restaurant one of them. The best dog friendly place we've been. Dogs are allowed everywhere in the hotel and can be taken to breakfast, Dinner etc. They are made to feel completely welcome with treats and dog beds. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with smart TVs. The Secret Garden restaurant serves lovely food and even if not eating, the outside bar area is nice to sit by the river and enjoy a drink. Great location to use as a base for walks in the area. We would definitely return.

When I made the reservation I pointed out to get a quieter table in the back part because our dog is a bit sensitive. Coming into the restaurant... the rather arrogant waiter (the same one who took the reservation) gives us a flourish in the front part.... very tight, very restless. Please repeat them. Rr wouldn't have otherwise. Apparently the whole back part was empty and no reservation came during our stay. Especially since we made a reservation at 3:45 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. according to the waiter's break. That was a really unpleasant visit. Three stars on our last visit. The owner wrote me that they hope to get 5 stars on our next visit. I would have liked to give It's not possible like that. Such a pity. The hotel/restaurant have so much potential. (Original) Heute erneut in der Beck hall gewesen. Wir hatten sunday roast. Essen sehr gut. Bei der Reservierung habe ich darauf hingewiesen einen etwas ruhiger Tisch im hinteren Teil zu bekommen weil unser Hund etwas empfindlich ist. Kommen ins Restaurant..... der ziemlich arrogante Kellner ( der gleiche der die Reservierung aufgenommen hst) gibt uns einen Tusch im vorderen Teil....sehr eng sehr unruhig. Die bitte erneut vorgetragen. Rr htte nicht anderes. Offensichtlich war der ganze hintere Teil leer und whrend unseres Aufenthalts kam keine Reservierung. Zu mal wir um 15:45 ,reserviert haben und ab 16-18 Uhr laut kellner Pause ist. Das war ein wirklich unangenehmer Besuch. Drei Sterne bei unserem letzten Besuch. Der Besitzer schrieb mir, dass sie hoffen bei unserem nchsten Besuch 5 Sterne zu erhalten. Htte ich gerne gegeben. So ist es nicht mglich. So schade. Das hotel/Restaurant haben so viel Potenzial.

The food is impressive. We had a good meal, lots of veggy and vegan options. The service was a little below what we expected however. Beck Hall makes a big deal of being Dog Friendly, but we felt it was Dog Accepting at best. Nothing about the service was really that friendly. Maybe we were unlucky and had some new staff, but there is room for improvement. However great food and pretty gardens.
